Features
Bladder tanks are systems used to supply foam
solutions for fixed systems. They
consist of a pressure vessel, a rubber bladder and a ratio controller. The bladder is installed inside the vessel.
The foam concentrate is stored in the bladder.
The ratio controller is mounted in the main water line outside the tank
and is the device used to mix the foam concentrate and water to produce the foam
solution. When the system activates,
water taken from the main line is introduced into the vessel between the inside
vessel wall and the bladder. The
bladder is squeezed forcing the foam concentrate out through a pipe leading to
the ratio controller. There the
foam concentrate is introduced at a pre-determined percentage rate into the
water stream creating foam solution. The
foam solution is then discharged through devices such as foam chambers, monitors
or sprinkler systems.
